On 30 July another debate in the #RODMonline series took place, which is the result of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Centers of International Debate and the Warsaw Institute. We invite you to watch the video “Post-Pandemic geopolitics”.

About the impact of the pandemic on international affairs said our guests:
– Michał Bruszewski – a geopolitical journalist with many years of journalistic experience. Author of reports on humanitarian aid of the Catholic Church in Iraq and eastern Ukraine. In his publications, he deals with the subject of international affairs and security.
– Petros Tovmasyan – RODM Katowice consultant, lawyer, political scientist, an expert in social economy, labor market, social and professional activation of excluded people. Coordinator of international and European projects. Member of the board of the Social Innovation Cluster.

The debate was moderated by Michał Oleksiejuk, an expert of The Warsaw Institute Foundation.

The speakers discussed the broadly understood impact of the coronavirus on the current geopolitical situation in Europe and the world. Among other things, a number of events that could be affected by the coronavirus were discussed, including the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The time of the pandemic is also the period of the German presidency of the Council of the European Union. Could this state of affairs further strengthen the German position in the EU? The participating experts also sought answers to this question. The increasing tension between the US, Russia and China was also raised during the discussion.
