We invite you to watch the recording of the RODM Online debate “The world after the pandemic: what has changed as a result of COVID-19?” featuring Dr Marcin Kędzierski and Dr Łukasz Jasina, organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Warsaw Institute and the Regional Centre for International Debate in Warsaw. The event took place on 16 July 2020.

During the debate, the experts discussed the political, economic and social consequences of the first wave of coronavirus. They also raised, among other issues, the likelihood of the global economic crisis and the second wave of coronavirus coming, the possibility of returning to the reality known to us before 2020, as well as the consolidation of currently adopted protective measures in public places, as was the case in Asia at the beginning of the 21st century after the SARS virus epidemic. During the debate, the matters of protests against the return of restrictions, or even the emergence of a new wave in the cinema inspired by the experiences during the pandemic and the closure in homes were covered.

The meeting was chaired by Jarosław Walkowicz – head of events at The Warsaw Institute Review and vice-president of the Young Diplomats Forum.
